Worth It Review
Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in the making for a long time. We were teased left and right for a game we all thought would come out years ago. The hype never died it only blew up like a balloon, but did that balloon fill with air or did it pop? Kingdom Hearts 3 joined a list of long awaited Threequels much like the unannounced Half Life 3 title and the hoped for, but probably never going to happen Portal 3. The main issue with these highly anticipated games is living up to the hype. A single player game has to have an immersive story to be successful. Most other games can just rely on their online aspect to keep them relevant. I mean look at fortnite the game didn’t even start off as a Battle Royale, and now most people don’t even know about the Save the World Edition. The question on all our minds whether you are a fan of the series, or not, is does it live up to the hype?
Yes I know it’s cheap to compare KH3 to Fallout 76, but Fallout 76 was a game we felt didn’t hit the mark. Maybe not as highly anticipated, but it was a single player game with a deathly loyal fan base. It was either the plot or the online aspect that made the game feel strange to use, but KH3 didn’t.
Is it Worth it?
Kingdom Hearts 3 is absolutely worth every penny. The game has a mix of quality fan service, nostalgia, and a whole new world (pun intended) to discover. The great thing about KH3 is that while I haven’t quite beat the game yet, I do know that I will play it again. Heck even playing KH3 has wanted me to replay the other titles over again to get that same feeling I had when I was a kid and booted up my ps2 to play it the first time. With a whole bevy of new Disney characters added to KH3 it feels like a whole new game while still keeping the classic approach. We are saving the world (of course), but we get to rediscover what we are fighting, why we are fighting it, and who we are fighting with. The introduction of new characters will keep you on the edge of your seat and will have you jumping for joy or at the very least shouting “Look who it is!!”. So, grab your replica keyblade and get to playing you will not be disappointed!
