Overwatch League Season 2

Overwatch League Season 2

Overview

Season 2 of Overwatch League is right around the corner and we are incredibly excited. Season two will start February 14th 2019 and we are curios as to what the state of the games will be like. Competitive and Contenders has been filled with GOATS mirror matches and tested each teams ability to synergize and prioritize their game play. Recent nerfs to one particular support may deter teams from running goats but only time will tell if it was a worthwhile nerf.

Season 1

Season one ended up with New York Excelsior taking home the gold ended with a record of 34-6. In Second place we had Los Angeles Valiant ending with a record of 27-13 and Boston Uprising in third place with a record of 26-14. The competition was close and all the teams seemed promising, except one. Shanghai Dragons ended up in 12th place with a record of 0-40 making them the only team to lose every bout. Hopefully they do better this year against their new competition.

Season 2

Season 2 has 8 new teams joining the OWL roster and we are excited for it. This means more games, more competition, and more chances to support your regions team. We are still curios if GOATS will be the go to comp for these teams, but we think that this will be a great opportunity to finally see new and improved team comps in the community. With nerfs coming to our favorite off tank Brig we do not think GOATS will be as viable and we may see the new and improved Reaper with his insane life steal.

Miscellaneous News

Wendy’s the popular fast food company known for Frosty’s and roasting people on twitter took over Overwatch on Twitch for a day and we got to see some amazing Soldier 76 game play. The Wendy’s twitter has even admitted to being a hard core D.Va Main and if you didn’t like them before we hope you do now.
